Southwest Domestics is a Houston household placement agency, not a cleaning crew or gig app. Instead of sending a different team each visit, we place a background-checked, bonded, and insured maid or housekeeper who works in your home on your schedule. You meet 4–5 pre-screened candidates in person at our Stafford office and choose who you hire. We have served Houston families since 1990.
A placement agency, not a cleaning crew
- The same person every visit: you choose your maid in a face-to-face interview; we do not send a rotating team.
- Screened before you meet them: background checks on all personnel (regularly updated), verifiable references, prior experience required, and every placement is bonded and insured.
- Your schedule: full-time (35–40 hours/week) or part-time with a 4-hour minimum per visit, live-out or live-in.
- Your household’s duties: housekeeping plus cooking, ironing, errands, or driving if you need them; we match candidates to the whole role.
- If it is not the right fit: we find a replacement at no additional cost.
An honest note: if you only need a one-time move-out or post-construction clean, a cleaning company is probably the better choice. Southwest Domestics focuses on ongoing household help from a person you have met and chosen.

Supplies
Southwest Domestics does not provide cleaning supplies. Most clients prefer their own products, chosen for their home and preferences.
How placement works
- Consultation: we discuss your household needs, schedule, and family culture.
- Selection: we present 4–5 hand-picked, vetted candidates.
- Interviews: you meet candidates in person at our office, 13847 Stafford Rd, Stafford, TX 77477. Interviews are free; each usually lasts 10–20 minutes, and the whole visit typically takes about an hour to an hour and a half.
- Placement: we handle the details, provide ongoing support, and offer a replacement at no extra cost if the match is not right.
Rates at a glance
Full-time (35–40 hours/week): Class A (senior level, up to 5 years experience) $25–$30/hr; Class B (mid level, up to 3 years) $23+/hr; Class C (entry level, up to 2 years) $20+/hr. Part-time (4–34 hours/week): Class A $30–$35/hr; Class B $25–$30/hr; Class C $20–$25/hr; part-time rates are set case by case. Live-out assignments over 40 hours per week are billed at an overtime rate in accordance with Texas law. Where do I interview candidates?

Are your maids and housekeepers background-checked?
Yes. All personnel undergo background checks, which are regularly updated, have verifiable references, and are bonded and insured. We only present providers with previous experience.
Do your maids bring cleaning supplies?
No. Southwest Domestics does not provide cleaning supplies; most clients use their own preferred products.
Is there a minimum visit length?
